Anthony (Nino) Capobianco
Nino is a member and involved in the La Quinta and Palm Desert Chambers of Commerce, and the Los Angeles, Desert and Riverside County Bar Associations.
Nino counsels companies on a
wide range of corporate, real estate, financing and business
legal issues, including entity formation and business
structure, corporate maintenance and governance, business
transactions and contractual matters, licensing, leasing,
mergers and acquisitions, and private equity and debt
financing. He also handles various business litigation
matters. Through his distinctive background and experience,
Nino is able to offer a unique, creative perspective to his
clients by combining legal expertise with practical business
judgment.
Nino was born in Cleveland,
Ohio, and later moved to Phoenix, Arizona. He attended Arizona
State University, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of
Arts in Finance. After graduating from Arizona State, Nino began
his career as a financial consultant with Peterson & Company
Consulting, an Arthur Andersen spin-off. Nino gained practical
insight and experience working with executives and others in the
finance industry. Nino received his Juris Doctor from the
University of California, Hastings College of the Law in San
Francisco, where he graduated cum laude and was selected to join
the Order of the Coif and Thurston Society.
Nino began his legal career
with the law firm of Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP, a
top-tier law firm with 600 attorneys in nine U.S. offices. He
became a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office and gained
significant experience representing leading businesses in
corporate and real estate matters, as well as complex civil
litigation.
In 1999, Nino left Sonnenschein
to become the Vice President and General Counsel of DoveBid,
Inc., a multinational corporation, where he directed the
company’s global legal, human resources and risk management
departments, as well as certain aspects of its corporate
operations and facilities. During his tenure, the company’s
revenues grew from $12,000,000, to $120,000,000; and, as a
member of the company’s Mergers & Acquisitions Committee, Nino
was instrumental in DoveBid’s acquisition of 19 businesses
in various countries around the world.
Nino has represented companies
in many different industries and at many different stages of
development. Regardless of their size or level of
sophistication, he believes that companies who seek experienced,
professional advice at the outset of a transaction invariably
minimize the risks associated with their operations and decrease
the likelihood of future disagreements and misunderstandings,
ultimately leading to lower long-term costs.
